About

Sengcan (d. c. 606) is traditionally regarded as the Third Patriarch of Zen in China. He is best known for the Xinxin Ming (Faith in Mind), a poetic text that points toward non-duality, ease, and the release of grasping. His words are spare and direct, inviting clarity through letting go rather than instruction.
