First push of the pedal,
fingers grip;
cold metal on bare feet,
spokes rotate, toes curl.
Butterflies...rubber
revolves, rock and roll,
hair flying with the wind.
Fingers spread evenly,
poised; soft ivory touch,
cool as a popsicle.
Neck crooked, back straight,
sounds; sharp and deep,
reverberate.
Large side eyes,
looking intently;
pulling a long mane,
chest on bone.
Up in the clouds, hold on,
small prayer;
moving in unison,
being carried away.
Cold, toes dipped,
water as wind;
caresses sand and foam.
Dive in, heart races,
fingers freeze.
Silence, ahhh...
weightless bliss.
Beginner.
Cheers!

and suddenly you are doing
the impossible."
